QuoteIQ free trial: 14 days, a card up front, and how to use them
QuoteIQ is not free, but every plan comes with a 14-day free trial. It is a full trial of the plan you pick, with two catches: you need a card to start, and it turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel. Here is how to get a real answer out of those two weeks.
Heads up: we're an independent QuoteIQ affiliate. If you start a subscription through our links we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We're not affiliated with QuoteIQ. How this site works.
14 days, any plan, card required, 250 IQ Credits, auto-converts to paid on day 14. Choose the plan you would actually buy, because switching plans mid-trial ends the trial and bills you straight away.
Is QuoteIQ free?
No. There is no free plan; the entry plan, Essentials, costs $29.99 a month for one user, and the other plans run to $699.99 (see QuoteIQ pricing). The free part is the trial, which is the same on every plan and lets you send real quotes and take real payments before you are charged.
The trial terms, plainly
- Length: 14 days on every plan, per QuoteIQ's pricing page.
- Card: a credit or debit card is required to start.
- Credits: a flat 250 IQ Credits for AI and calling, whatever the plan.
- Features: the plan's own features and limits apply. A Beginner trial does not unlock Pro tools.
- Auto-renewal: per QuoteIQ's terms, if you do not cancel before the trial expires it converts to a paid plan.
- One trial each: one trial per person, business or payment method.
- Plan changes: switching plans mid-trial ends the trial and bills immediately.
- Refunds: fees are non-refundable once charged.
Note that a promo code purchase skips the trial entirely and is paid up front; see QuoteIQ promo codes.
Pick the right plan before you start
Because you cannot switch without ending the trial, choose based on what you must test. Want satellite measuring? Start on Beginner. Need QuickBooks Online, texting from a business number or job costing? Pro. Online booking, routing or automated review requests? Elite. If you are unsure, our QuoteIQ review breaks down each tier by crew size.

A day-by-day plan for the 14 days
Day 1: set up the basics
Add your logo, address, tax rate and payment terms, then connect payments so you can take a real deposit later. Set a phone reminder for day 12.
Day 2: build your price book
Enter your ten most common services with prices. Use AI Smart Import if you are coming from another CRM; it maps columns from a CSV and uses a few credits. Our Jobber switching guide helps.
Days 3–4: quote real jobs
Send at least three real estimates. Try the AI Estimator on one, an Options estimate on another, and require a deposit on a third. Time yourself against how you quote today.
Day 5: measure from satellite
On Beginner or above, quote one exterior job entirely with MapMeasure Pro and compare the figure with a tape measure on site.
Days 6–7: schedule the week
Put a full week of real visits on the calendar, including one recurring job, and reschedule a few to see how it handles changes.
Days 8–9: invoice and get paid
Convert an accepted estimate into an invoice and collect a real payment by card or ACH. Check how the customer sees it.
Day 10: test calls and texts
Run one or two test calls to the AI receptionist and read the summary. With 250 credits you only have about two minutes, so keep it brief. On Pro, text a customer from the business number.
Day 11: involve your team
Add a crew member, assign them a job and have them use the mobile app in the field.
Days 12–13: decide
Count quotes sent, quotes won and time saved. If it is not earning its keep, cancel now rather than on the last day.
Day 14: billing day
If you kept it, your card is charged for the plan you trialed. If you have used it daily, consider whether annual billing makes sense after a month or two.
How to cancel before it bills
In the app, open the left menu, go to Resources, then Subscriptions, and cancel; you can also cancel on the web. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you must cancel there instead. Want a break rather than a goodbye? Choosing "Seasonality" as your cancellation reason offers a 30, 60 or 90-day pause. Step-by-step screens are in how to cancel QuoteIQ.

Is QuoteIQ free?
No. QuoteIQ has no free-forever plan; the cheapest plan, Essentials, is $29.99 a month. What it does offer is a 14-day free trial on every plan, so you can use the software on real jobs before your first charge, as long as you cancel before the trial ends if it is not for you.
Does the QuoteIQ free trial need a credit card?
Yes. QuoteIQ's pricing page says a credit or debit card is required to start the trial on any plan. The card is charged automatically when the 14 days end unless you cancel first. Jobber, Housecall Pro and Workiz all offer trials that do not need a card.
How many IQ Credits do I get on the trial?
Every trial gets a flat 250 IQ Credits, whichever plan you choose. That covers plenty of AI estimates at 5 to 15 credits each, but only about two minutes of the AI receptionist at 125 credits per minute, so test calls sparingly. Proposals are free during the trial.
Can I change plans during the QuoteIQ trial?
You can, but QuoteIQ's terms say changing plans mid-trial ends the trial and bills you immediately. Pick the plan you expect to keep before you start. Plan features and limits apply during the trial, so a Pro trial will not show you Elite tools like route optimization.
Can I get a refund if I forget to cancel?
QuoteIQ's terms say fees are non-refundable, including for unused time or dissatisfaction, though you keep access until the end of the paid period. That is why we suggest setting a phone reminder for day 12 and cancelling early if you have decided QuoteIQ is not the right fit.
