QuoteIQ annual vs monthly: is “2 months free” worth it?
QuoteIQ's yearly billing is pitched as two months free. The math is simple; the catch is that the money is non-refundable and the trial ends the moment you switch. Here's when the saving is real and when monthly is the better bet.

Annual billing costs 10× the monthly price, a saving of about 16.7% (from $59.98 a year on Essentials to $1,399.98 on Max). Take it once you've used QuoteIQ for a month or two on the plan you'll keep. Stay monthly during the trial, if your crew size may change, or if your business is seasonal.

The math, plan by plan
QuoteIQ's pricing page says yearly billing "saves you 2 months free". The plan cards don't print annual totals, so here they are at ten times the monthly price:
| Plan | Monthly | 12 months on monthly | Annual (10× monthly) | You save | Effective per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials (1 user) | $29.99 | $359.88 | $299.90 | $59.98 | $24.99 |
| Beginner (2 users) | $99.99 | $1,199.88 | $999.90 | $199.98 | $83.33 |
| Pro (4 users) | $199.99 | $2,399.88 | $1,999.90 | $399.98 | $166.66 |
| Elite (10 users) | $299.99 | $3,599.88 | $2,999.90 | $599.98 | $249.99 |
| Max (20 users) | $699.99 | $8,399.88 | $6,999.90 | $1,399.98 | $583.33 |
One caveat: an FAQ example on the pricing page quotes Elite at "$2,999.99" a year rather than $2,999.90. Nine cents doesn't change any decision, but confirm the figure at checkout. Extra users are $25 a month each on every plan; check at checkout how they're billed on a yearly plan, and our full pricing guide covers add-ons.
What annual doesn't change
- IQ Credits are still monthly. Each cycle's allowance resets and doesn't roll over, so a yearly plan doesn't hand you twelve months of credits upfront. See IQ Credits explained.
- Usage costs are on top. Credit top-ups, AI call fees and payment processing aren't part of the discount.
- Add-ons stay separate. The AI Website Builder ($34.99/mo below Max) and extra storage are priced on their own.
How annual and the free trial interact
This is where people lose money. QuoteIQ's terms and conditions say changing plans mid-trial ends the trial and bills immediately, and an annual plan is billed in full. So switching to yearly on day three means paying for twelve months after three days of use, with no refund if it doesn't work out. Our advice:
- Start the 14-day trial on the tier you'd buy, billed monthly.
- Use it on real jobs for the full trial; let it convert to monthly if it's a keeper.
- Run one or two paid months to confirm the tier and your credit use.
- Then switch to annual, knowing the plan fits.
Two months on monthly costs you, at most, the difference between the monthly and effective annual rate for those months: about $10 on Essentials or $67 on Pro. That's cheap insurance against locking into the wrong tier for a year. Our free trial guide covers the 14 days in more detail.

The "up to 40% off" annual offer
QuoteIQ's site has shown a popup offering "Up to 40% off" an annual plan, with the condition "No free trial — billed in full at checkout". That beats two months free on paper. The trade is that you buy a year before testing anything, and the payment is non-refundable. It suits someone who has already used QuoteIQ, perhaps at a previous business, and knows the tier they need. It doesn't suit anyone still comparing tools. Promo codes work the same way: they remove the trial. We haven't found a public code we can verify, so we don't list one; see QuoteIQ promo codes.
When monthly is smarter
- You've used QuoteIQ for a month or more
- Your headcount fits the plan for the next year
- You work year-round
- You want the lowest price on a tier you're sure of
- You're still in the trial
- You expect to hire past your plan's user count
- You're seasonal and may pause in winter
- You're still comparing other software
Two reasons need more explanation. Growth: Pro covers four users and Elite ten, and moving tiers is a plan change. If you think you'll outgrow your tier within the year, the annual saving on the smaller plan can be wiped out. Seasonality: choosing "Seasonality" as a cancellation reason gets you a 30, 60 or 90-day pause. A lawn or snow business that pauses three months a year pays for nine months on monthly, which is less than ten months' price on annual.
Price lock: a quiet argument for staying put
QuoteIQ keeps your rate while you have an uninterrupted subscription on the same plan; resubscribing or switching plans moves you to current pricing. Per QuoteIQ's 2026 pricing plans article, new prices apply to new subscriptions from October 2026, so subscribers on an older rate should think twice before any plan change, annual included, and confirm with QuoteIQ how a billing-cycle switch is treated. If you're leaving altogether, our cancellation guide covers the steps.

QuoteIQ annual vs monthly: common questions
How much do you save with QuoteIQ annual billing?
QuoteIQ says yearly billing gives you two months free, so a year costs ten times the monthly price. That saves $59.98 on Essentials, $199.98 on Beginner, $399.98 on Pro, $599.98 on Elite and $1,399.98 on Max, about 16.7% in each case. Confirm the exact annual total at checkout, as one QuoteIQ FAQ example differs by a few cents.
Can I get annual billing during the QuoteIQ free trial?
You can switch, but QuoteIQ's terms say changing plans mid-trial ends the trial and bills you immediately, and an annual plan is charged in full. Treat any move to yearly billing as the end of your trial. Most shops are better off finishing the 14 days on monthly, then switching once they're sure.
Is QuoteIQ annual billing refundable?
No. QuoteIQ's terms say all fees are non-refundable, with no refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time or downgrades. If you pay for a year and stop using QuoteIQ in month three, you keep access until the year ends but don't get money back. That's the main reason monthly billing can be the smarter choice.
What is the QuoteIQ "up to 40% off" annual offer?
QuoteIQ's site has shown a popup offering up to 40% off an annual plan, marked "No free trial — billed in full at checkout". It's a real discount but it removes the trial, so you pay for a year before testing the software. We can't verify a public promo code beyond QuoteIQ's own offers, and we don't publish codes we can't check.
