The QuoteIQ app: what it does on your phone, and what needs a desk

QuoteIQ runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and any web browser, all syncing in real time. The phone app is where most of the field work happens, from AI quotes to photos and payments. Here is what each version does well, how the app is rated, and how in-app billing works.

App reviewers mostly praise how easy the app is to pick up and how quickly it produces a professional quote in the field, with the measuring tool singled out by exterior trades. Older reviews mention bugs and the lack of a desktop version, which the web app now covers. See our full review for the wider picture.

What works well on the phone

Better on the web

The browser version is where we set up the price book, import data, build templates and manage the calendar. Drag-to-schedule is a desktop feature, and creating new QuoteIQ Sign documents runs in the web app. Big imports with AI Smart Import work on both, but are easier on a large screen. Our how to use QuoteIQ guide covers the setup order.

Does it work offline?

We found no QuoteIQ documentation of an offline mode, so assume you need a signal. Its location-tracking page says live employee tracking needs a cellular or data connection. If your crews work in basements, rural areas or dead zones, test the app there during the free trial before committing.

In-app subscriptions and billing

You can subscribe inside the app, but then the App Store or Google Play handles the billing. QuoteIQ's terms say those subscriptions are managed and cancelled through the store, not inside QuoteIQ. The App Store's in-app purchase list still shows older plan prices, so check QuoteIQ's current pricing before you buy. Web subscriptions are cancelled under Resources, then Subscriptions; see how to cancel QuoteIQ.

Getting your crew on the app

Each person who logs in needs a user seat, and every extra seat is $25 a month on any plan. Start the account on the web, add your services and team members, then have each crew member download the app and sign in with their own login. On Elite and up, roles and permissions let you control which screens each person sees, so a technician can run their day without seeing your pricing or reports. Run one real job end to end on a crew member's phone during the trial: open the visit, take photos, collect a signature and take payment. If that flow feels clumsy in your trade, you will know before you pay.

QuoteIQ app FAQ

Is the QuoteIQ app free?

The app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, but using it needs a QuoteIQ subscription, starting with Essentials at $29.99 a month. Every plan has a 14-day free trial, which requires a card and converts to paid unless you cancel before it ends.

Is there a QuoteIQ desktop app?

There is no separate desktop program to install. On a computer you use QuoteIQ's web app in a browser, which syncs in real time with the phone apps. Some tasks, such as drag-to-schedule on the calendar and creating new QuoteIQ Sign documents, are built around the web version.

Does the QuoteIQ app work offline?

QuoteIQ does not document an offline mode that we could find, so plan on needing a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Its location-tracking page says live employee tracking needs a data connection. If your crews work in dead zones, test the app there during the free trial.

How do I cancel a QuoteIQ subscription bought in the app?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, QuoteIQ's terms say you must manage and cancel it through that store's subscription settings. Subscriptions bought on the web are cancelled inside QuoteIQ under Resources, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app alone does not cancel anything.

What are the QuoteIQ app ratings?

On Oct 25, 2026 the Apple App Store showed 4.7 out of 5 from about 3.4K ratings for version 2026.10.20, and Google Play showed 4.4 from about 1.21K reviews with more than 10,000 downloads and an Oct 17, 2026 update. Both listings are published under QuoteIQ's own developer account.
