QuoteIQ vs Workiz: published plans or a sales quote?

Workiz is a capable all-rounder that keeps its prices behind a sales conversation. QuoteIQ puts every tier on its pricing page. That difference shapes almost everything else in this comparison.

Who should pick which

QuoteIQ suits quote-heavy small shops that want to know the price up front and get AI estimating and satellite measuring without add-ons. Workiz is the better fit if you need online booking on a basic plan, QuickBooks from the start, or its higher-tier tools for service plans, equipment and purchase orders.

Published price vs sales call

You can't budget for Workiz without talking to Workiz. Its Standard plan is quote only and the page doesn't say how many users it includes. QuoteIQ's comparison says Workiz's phone, AI answering and marketing tools are priced separately on top. That's QuoteIQ's description, but it matches what Workiz's own page leaves out.

QuoteIQ shows everything: Essentials $29.99 with one user, Beginner $99.99 with two, Pro $199.99 with four, Elite $299.99 with ten, Max $699.99 with twenty, and $25 per extra user. The catch is IQ Credits. AI estimates, AI calls and texts draw on a monthly allowance that resets and doesn't roll over, and top-ups start at $25 for 2,500. Read our guide to IQ Credits before you assume the sticker price is the whole bill.

Where Workiz wins

Credit where it's due. Workiz's Standard plan includes QuickBooks and subcontractor management, which QuoteIQ either gates (QuickBooks from Pro) or doesn't advertise. QuoteIQ's own page concedes that Workiz offers online booking on every plan and tells readers to “pick Workiz if you need its Ultimate-tier operations tools (service plans, equipment tracking, purchase orders, Open API) or its lead-marketplace integrations.” That's an unusually fair line from a vendor, and we agree with it.

The trial is also friendlier: no card, so there's nothing to cancel. It's only seven days, though, which is tight for testing a week of real jobs.

Where QuoteIQ wins

For shops where most revenue starts as an estimate, QuoteIQ is built around that moment. The AI Estimator drafts priced line items from a description, voice note or photos, then lets you edit, send, get it signed and turn it into an invoice. MapMeasure Pro pulls lawn, driveway or roof measurements from satellite imagery straight into the quote. Options and Package estimates let customers pick good, better or best. None of that appears on Workiz's pricing page. QuoteIQ's AI Estimator page describes the workflow in the vendor's words.

QuoteIQ also gives you a 24/7 AI receptionist on every plan and a two-week trial, and you know the monthly price before you speak to anyone. QuoteIQ's own Workiz comparison argues the cost side in more detail; read it as the vendor's case.

Test both trials the same way

Seven days on Workiz and fourteen on QuoteIQ is enough if you plan it. Here's the order we'd use:

  1. Pick five real jobs from last month: one small, three typical, one big.
  2. Quote each in both tools. Time yourself and note how many edits the quote needs.
  3. Schedule two of them and send an invoice with a payment link.
  4. Check what each tool needs before you can book online, sync to QuickBooks or answer calls with AI, and what that tier costs.
  5. On QuoteIQ, watch your 250 trial IQ Credits; that tells you how fast AI use burns through an allowance.

Don't switch plans during the QuoteIQ trial; doing so ends the trial and starts billing.

What to ask the Workiz sales rep

Because Workiz quotes each shop separately, go into the call with a list. These are the questions we'd want answered in writing, so you can line the total up against QuoteIQ's public plans:

Then compare the total with the QuoteIQ tier that matches. If you need InstaSchedule booking, that's Elite at $299.99 with ten users. If you don't, Pro at $199.99 covers four people with QuickBooks Online and job costing.

Migration notes

Coming from Workiz, export clients, services, estimates and invoices to CSV and run them through QuoteIQ's AI Smart Import. Payment history isn't carried across. Imported contacts default to opted-in for automated emails, so check that before switching on any automation. Our how to use QuoteIQ guide walks through the first week of setup.

Leaving QuoteIQ later is simple too: plans are month to month, but fees aren't refunded for partial months, so cancel near the end of a billing cycle. Our cancellation guide shows where the button lives.

Workiz vs QuoteIQ: your questions

How much does Workiz cost?

Workiz doesn't publish a price for its Standard plan; you get a quote. QuoteIQ's comparison says Workiz sells Standard, Pro and Ultimate by quote, with phone, AI answering and marketing tools priced separately. QuoteIQ's plans are public: Essentials $29.99/mo, rising to $699.99 for Max, with users included.

Does Workiz have a free trial?

Yes. Workiz's pricing page lists a 7-day trial with no card. QuoteIQ's trial runs 14 days but requires a credit or debit card and converts to paid unless you cancel. Workiz is easier to start; QuoteIQ gives you a full two weeks to test real quotes and jobs.

Does Workiz integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Workiz lists QuickBooks on its Standard plan. QuoteIQ connects to QuickBooks Online from its Pro plan at $199.99/mo and doesn't support QuickBooks Desktop. If accounting sync on the cheapest tier matters, Workiz has the edge there, though you'll need a quote to know what that tier costs.

Which has better online booking, QuoteIQ or Workiz?

On availability, Workiz. QuoteIQ's own comparison concedes Workiz offers online booking on every plan. QuoteIQ's InstaSchedule self-booking, and InstaQuote self-quoting, both start on Elite at $299.99/mo. If you want online booking on a small budget, that is a genuine point against QuoteIQ.

Who should choose Workiz over QuoteIQ?

Shops that need Workiz's Ultimate-tier operations tools, such as service plans, equipment tracking, purchase orders and an open API, or that rely on its lead-marketplace integrations. QuoteIQ's own page says as much. Quote-heavy shops that want AI estimating and published pricing will usually be happier on QuoteIQ.
